Dr Shreeya Tewary

Consultant Gynaecologist and IVF Specialist
Dr Shreeya Tewary graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2009 and started specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in the West Midlands. Following her postgraduate exams and after becoming a Member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology she worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Tommy’s Centre of Miscarriage Research in Coventry and Warwickshire.
At Tommy’s and under the supervision of world renowned professors in recurrent miscarriage; Professor Quenby and Professor Brosens she conducted her own research and completed a doctorate of medicine. This research into improving the environment for implantation for patients with recurrent miscarriage was published in e-biomedicine, part of the Lancet family, as well as in The Guardian and The Independent – her paper was selected by the Lancet as one of the top 10 research highlights for 2020.
Shreeya moved to the East of England in 2019 and joined Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where she gained a breadth of experience encompassing assisted reproduction, endometriosis, reproductive endocrinology, paediatric gynaecology and complex benign gynaecology surgery.
She has a developed a passion for teaching and research in gynaecology, teaching on MRCOG revision courses and presenting at several international meetings. She has written two book chapters within the area of reproductive medicine and has cared for patients in large multi centre randomised controlled trials such as PRISM, PROMISE, ALIFE-2.
In 2023 she was awarded subspecialty accreditation (SST) within Reproductive Medicine and her certificate of completion of training (CCT) from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and joined Bourn Hall in Cambridge as a Consultant Gynaecologist and IVF Specialist.
