If you’re considering donor-assisted fertility treatment, our open evening on Thursday 6th of November will offer you the opportunity to learn more about the pathway and connect with others in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Many people only discover they’ll need to use donated eggs or embryos after they have already faced several rounds of treatment. They may have never previously considered that it would be a possibility, and face both the significant complexity of their own fertility journey as well as the new practical and emotional elements introduced by using donor gametes. We are often told that it feels, initially, like a lonely and daunting experience. It’s completely natural to need time, information, and reassurance before you feel ready to take the next step.

At Bourn Hall, we have helped many people start their families through the assistance of donor eggs and embryos in their fertility treatment. By attending this event, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with the entire Donor Team, who will guide you through every aspect of the treatment journey so that you can make informed choices and connect with others who are undergoing similar journeys. Our lead donor consultant, Dr Chhaya Prasannan-Nair, as well as our donor nurse, Julie Middlemas, will explain the medical process and answer your questions. Our specialist fertility counsellor, Jackie Stewart, will talk through the emotional and legal aspects, and how to approach them with confidence. There will also be plenty of time available to meet and connect with others who are undergoing similar journeys.

Choosing to undergo treatment with donor eggs or embryos can feel like a big step, but you’re not alone. We recognise that every journey to parenthood is unique, and every patient deserves personalised care. Bourn Hall is here to help you take the next step with compassion, understanding, and expert guidance.
