Frequently asked questions

Your questions answered. Find clarity on every step of your fertility journey.

How much does private IVF cost?

Private IVF costs vary depending on your individual treatment plan. Factors such as medication requirements, whether intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is recommended and if you choose to freeze embryos can all influence the overall cost of IVF treatment.

We’re always open about pricing and about what’s included. You can view our full fee schedule or use our online fee calculator to receive a more personalised estimate.

What’s included in the cost of IVF?

Your IVF treatment cost typically covers the core stages of care, including monitoring scans, egg collection, laboratory fertilisation and embryo transfer. Medication and additional procedures may be charged separately.

We’ll always take time to explain your private IVF package in detail so you can plan your treatment with certainty.

Can I freeze my eggs or embryos, and how much does it cost?

Yes – egg and embryo freezing is available at our full-service clinics in Cambridge, Norwich and Wickford. Embryos created during IVF can be frozen and stored for future use, and some patients choose to freeze all embryos as part of a planned treatment cycle.

Following updates to UK fertility legislation, eggs, sperm and embryos can now be stored for up to 55 years, subject to ongoing consent renewal. Costs vary depending on treatment choices and storage duration.

What options are there for paying for treatment?

If you’re self-funding your fertility treatment, several payment options are available. Alongside pay-as-you-go pricing, you may also explore financing and refund programmes through partner providers, including Access Fertility. Our team is always available to help you understand which payment option feels most practical and comfortable for your situation.

How much does sperm freezing cost?

Sperm freezing costs depend on whether the service is part of a wider fertility treatment plan or arranged as a standalone option. You’ll find clear pricing information in our full fee schedule.

How much does egg freezing cost?

The cost of egg freezing depends on your treatment plan and how long you choose to store your eggs. Detailed pricing is available through our fees and funding information, or you can use our fee calculator to generate a clearer personalised estimate.

What happens if IVF isn’t successful?

If your IVF cycle isn’t successful, we understand how emotionally difficult that can feel. You will always have continued support from our team. When you feel ready, you’ll have a follow-up consultation with your consultant to review your cycle, discuss what may have happened and talk through your options in a clear and compassionate way.
